I started in the construction industry in the late '90s as joiner, where I learned to truly appreciate quality craftsmanship. Over the years, I worked on many projects and eventually became a Senior Site Manager with some of the UK's top contractors.
During my time in construction, I had consistently noticed the poor workmanship and declining standards of many residential projects.
Despite my efforts to improve quality, commercial pressures often got in the way. I would regularly battle with pressures from 'above', the calibre of contractors assigned to me, and pricing structures that prioritised the build speed over quality.
This frustration led me to a change in my career to focus on commercial projects, where standards were consistently higher. However, the disappointment of new homeowners stuck with me. Buying a new home should be exciting, but I often felt I had let people down.
As a result, I founded Snag Easy, a business dedicated to improving the quality of as many new homes as I can. My approach is one of working with the builder to make sure that every home meets the high standards new homeowners deserve.
Snag Easy shows my dedication to fixing problems within the home building industry, with careful attention to detail.
